an interruption.

I wanted something new, so I've changed my template. My only concern is that it's confusing to find where to comment. But right now I'm too tired to change anything again. Who knows. It might stick. But in case you were wondering...just click the circle at the top of this post.

(or apparently just click the title.)

I knew I shouldn't have started changing things past 11pm at night and on a whim.

Now back to the regular schedule of sporadic musings and abrupt thoughts.

one year older.

Well gang, it's here. My blogoversary. I guess I should more aptly say it was here. On Saturday. And I was a bum and forgot. But, what I think is cool about forgetting is that I was out with bloggy buddies, whom I never would have met had it not been for this space.

Like we all know, life changes when starting a blog, and I can honestly say it's been for the better.

I've had my waves with it. I've been consistent. I've been lacking. But I always know it's here for me to come back to when I need it and want it. Hmm..that makes me sound selfish. But you all understand what I'm saying anyways, right?

Along with the guilt of neglecting it from time to time though comes amazing connections with readers and other bloggers, and this has really been what I love most about blogging. With that in mind I want to thank a couple fabulous bloggers who awarded me with some sweet awards.

(It's my blogday. I can gloat.)

First a huge thank you to Elle from Lady Tells All for the G.L.O.B. (Gorgeous Ladies of Blogging) award. And now that I'm looking back I've realized I've totally stolen her idea of posting awards on my blogoversary. (Good one, lolly) And I've also realized that we started blogging around the same time. Fun! I love reading her blog full of honesty and heart, and I couldn't be more happy to accept this award.

Next, I would like to send a huge thank you to Jo from My Own Breed of Random for the Beautiful Blogger award. Her blog is always full of honesty (apparently, I like a good honest person) and awesome pictures of whatever is going on in her life. Always fun to read, so thank you again Jo.

But I also want to send a huge thank you to all you readers! I hope to continue to make connections and hear from more people, but really this first year has been a blast.

Can't wait for year two.

what to expect

February is here. While my morning consisted of forgetting my key card and not being able to get coffee for an hour because of it, I was happy to see the snow falling. This time of year amazes me because you think you know what to expect, but you're never right. I've been sick the past week with a cold that won't leave and I'm finding it hard to breathe. I have plans. I made plans. I canceled plans. And for some reason I still don't want to slow down. I want to play volleyball, go to the gym, adventure around the city. I also want to watch all the Best Picture nominations. Ok, that doesn't take too much effort, but I want to feel good doing it. But for now I must sit. Take a look around. And be happy with what I see.
